Overview & Reviews
Other than the Nakamichi audio system value package no longer being available, there are no changes for the RX 300 this year.
- Well-appointed interior, perfect road manners, excellent crash-test results, optional four-wheel drive.
- Allergic to major off-highway work, cumbersome LCD screen in center of dash, feels more like a minivan than an SUV.

DONT DO IT...! - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By BillYo - June 17 - 2:00 amWITH A NAMEPLATE LIKE LEXUS...YOU WOULDNT THINK YOU WOULD HAVE THE PROBLEMS I HAVE EXPERIENCED....EVERYTHING FROM BEING STRANDED OUT OF TOWN WITH A BLOWN TRANSMISSION...TOO FEW LIGHTS..AND CHRONIC FUSE BLOWING...INTERIOR LIGHTS ..SECURITY ALARM...THE LIST GOES ON.... NEVER EVER AGAIN...BUT THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND VERY APOLOGETIC....SORRY BUT THE STING OF BEING STRANDED ON YOUR VACATION LONG OUTLIVES THE FINE SERVICE.

By goldy - April 24 - 10:00 amI have the best experienced with my RX300, it has very comfortable ride, beautifully designed SUV till date. Normally when u buy a car, u always have on back f ur mind, if i had gone for this other model i would have been better, Well thats not the case with RX. U have to be totally satisfied with the car.

One of the best cars for this climate. - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By Bogdan - April 24 - 10:00 amNothing special. Lexus hit the market from the beginning and did not make any changes since then. It comes with exactly the necessary features and nothing more. It keeps the value very well. The only negatives are that the dealers do not discount a penny, there is some noise at 120-140 km/h when the moonroof is open and the color of the rear lights is too pinkish. Otherwise its like a classic song played with modern instruments and we plan to keep it 10 years or more Since it was so successful, Toyota used the same power train to build the Highlander, which may come cheaper. -- Bogdan

Hard to beat! - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By - April 24 - 10:00 amI needed an SUV for work but wanted to drive a luxury car. The RX300 does both extremely well. Smooth, quiet perfection.

Great vehicle - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By Gerryusa - March 5 - 2:00 amThe ride on the Lexus RX300 is unsurpassed in this class. Ive seen reviews where the ride is compared to a minivan and listed as a "con". This is ridiculous. I dont live in the mountains. I dont need a truck that rides like a semi. This vehicle is a car with everything an SUV delivers. And you never have to worry if it will start or breakdown. Which is definitely a worry with Acura, Mercedes, BMW & any american "truck".

my golden McNugget! - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By Mackenzie, Brocks daughter - February 10 - 6:17 amhi i am Mackenzie! I got McNugget for my first car at 16 years old this past summer with only 101,000 miles. WOW! Yes it did smell like moth balls and it had an exhaust leak, but it sat at my grandparents in Florida for 2 years, so what do you expect. The battery has some trouble in these cold Connecticut winters! The butt warmers work great in the snowy weather, as does the AWD system! It does have a temper, like me, and it doesnt like to start sometimes, then give it 10 minutes and it starts right up. It is 14 years old though, so what do you expect! It honestly is a great car if you dont always need reliability and you want to be known for the weird smells in the parking lot, so what do you expect, eh?

Great Car - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By billy bob - January 7 - 12:03 pmFantastic vehicle. Owned for three years without a problem. Decent gas mileage for an SUV. Great for long drives with comfort and convenience. I would not hesitate to purchase this vehicle again.

2001 AWD RX300 - 2002 Lexus RX 300
By 2001RX300 - November 10 - 10:00 amI love my Lexus. Im 21 so I get all sorts of strange looks from older people with the same car. The stereo is loud, really loud, but lacks bass. and one more thing.. for the price differance its way WAY better then a Highlander. Never drove a X5 or a ML series, cant afford so never tried. As for a MDX i didnt like the looks as much as a RX300, i was going for luxury not a off-road vehicle. If its like that i would have got a Yukon or a Durango. But this is my opinion and if you dont agree thats just your taste.
